First time out with the new mods!

    Today, I went out to the local track (Infineon Raceway) here in Sonoma, Ca. Last time I ran here was when all I had was exhaust, cobra intake, and 3.73's. Ran constant 14.6-14.8's all day, not bad for a 200k miles on the shortblock if you ask me, but I was only netting a 2.2-2.3 60ft. every time.

    Now, after changing everything to used Eddy performer heads, stock cam w/ 1.7 RR, and cobra intake with alittle bit of bolt ons and supporting fuel system (24lb. injectors w/ pro-m mass air) I ran a 13.9 today with a 2.0 60 ft. but only a 100 mph trap speed. Ran a previous 14.10 and 14.05 before I got my final time and I can see what I was doing wrong. I was shifting at 5200 rpm on the previous passes and on my last pass I shifted at like 5500-5600 rpm Meaning there's still some in her. Next time I'll be there with some E/T streets, the Holley intake and a nitrous tune, hopefully I'll get into the low 12/high 11 second area.

    My friend was there with his 01' 2v and was running 13.7's all day with 4.10's, x-pipe, pullies, and CAI, but the weird thing is I raced him on the freeway and tore him up. I guess the street is a whole different world.

    Thanks guys! It was great to finally hang with some cars that were totally out of my league like evo's, sti's, g35's, 350z, ect. Im hoping to swap the holley intake, and nitrous kit in the next two weekends, and try to sell the cobra intake to fund the tune at a local mustang tuning shop. Hopefully all this will get me into the 11-12 second range with some seat time.

    Thanks man, sorry i havent replied been pretty busy at work. My car hasn't been tuned or dunno yet but i kinda expect alittle more than 260hp, but i think with the holley intake i should be at the 270-280 mark later on.

    You dont think it would be in the 12's with a 100hp shot, on slicks this time?

    It would be in the 12's on the bottle for sure ... **** I'm sure I could get it in the 12's with some slicks on the back I launch with zero ****s given though at like 5k . With my cast iron hci setup I was running 12.80's at 108 . Congrats on the 13's you'll love the bottle dude .

    Yeah man i know, i was just trying to figure why he said 12 wasn't possible. But i still need to get a line lock system and change the clutch out for a ram before i get any more serious into drag.

    Line lock ? For what I don't have one still to this day lol and have been racing for years ... If you can afford it I would get a act hdss clutch soft like stock pedal feel but super strong I think it's rated at 450 ft lbs

    Missed the nitrous part, I would say you can do it with some good 60's.
