I was wondering how many people cruise around with their nitrous bottle still in the trunk>? I take mine out unless I'm going to the track...I could see keeping it in the trunk if you are driving around looking for a street fight or something but just daily I def take it out...

I guess I am worried about getting rear ended real hard and the bottle exploding or something. I know I can control the way I drive but can't control the jack ass behind me.

Nitrous is a non-flammable gas, in an accident the blow of tube would/should release befor the container ever exploded. Now if your car caught fire, I would get everyone away, as it is an oxidizer..it will make the fire burn faster and greater. That being said, the major safety hazards of nitrous oxide come from the fact that it is a compressed liquified gas, it can decompose energetically and potentially detonate but I am sure, if you are like me...the bottle will only last a day or two before needing a nice new refill. lol It's addicitve. Also, make sure your bottle warmer has a switch to shut off after you shut down or leave the car. That can be bad also.

Mine always sits in the trunk, mostly because I'm lazy. It's usually left in there with the valve closed, but if I plan on going ou and fucking around I'll crack it open. Though in the winter time I pull it out and sit it in my closet, which I actually just did yesterday. :(
