EWWW, are we new to the mustang 4.6 World? :hammer: :hammer: OK first power improved heads AKA PI heads are the ones that came on stock 99 and up 2 valve mustangs. They are much better than the previous heads that came on the GT and flow much better on he intake and exhaust. These can be put on a 98 and older stang along with the PI intake and cams, this is referred to the PI swap and can give you some nice power gains over the stock parts that the older cars came with. As far as the blower goes, its a OK set-up but not as nice as one from Vortech / ATI / Paxton or any of the other MAJOR supercharger manufactures. Not to mention the fact that the hp gain is limited with the ford blower compared to the others I mentioned. :) I think we have a member here that has that ford blower if I'm not mistaken ???

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=6123

or do i get stock 99+ heads?

Your killing me here ;D Those ARE the stock 99 and newer heads :hammer: Power improved ( PI ) heads are what comes on a 99+ Mustang GT. That is what the link is in your post, they are the same. Ford does have a set of racing heads for the 2 valve but they are High dollar. If you want to save some money you can look on web sites or ebay and find a set of PI heads ( stock on a 99 or newer GT ) and save some money over getting them new.

That blower is decient, but you can get better gains from other blowers as snakebit said.
you also need the installation kit, so look into that.

PI heads, you can get as much power from them as you'd get from a mild supercharger on the NPI or stock 96-98 heads.

I have a write up on the headswap and power gains - I suggest you read up on it.
There's a lot of good info in there.
there's also other info in this forum about it.

There's a number of options to go there.

Any quesions - ask away! :D

Glad you liked it. there's alot of hype and misinformation about it. that's why I wrote that up.

you will get more then 55hp...closer to 75-80 rwhp with the stock 6psi pulley...100 with a 9psi pulley...
i haven't dyno'd yet so i don't know...but i also have p&p's pi heads, blower cams, and alot more so my numbers won't be typical i don't think.

no, you can buy 9, 12 or whatever psi pulley you want from pulley manufacturers. I bought mine from ASP for $90. Then you need to borrow a pulley removal tool.
