I was reading that I think it was BMW has suspended any further research and development of combustion engines. It seems crazy tot think this could be the last combustion motor that ford develops...

VW/Audi had also announced that. I was crushed hearing that. They have made lots of great engines.

New gen2 godzilla intake

The throttle opening is much larger compared to the gen1.
The runners were made taller and straighter.

The throttle opening is much larger compared to the gen1. This is a gen1 seal comparison.

Gen2 on left, gen1 or right
The gen2 overall size is bigger. The runners were made taller and straighter.

Good to see they’re learning as they go. You should liberate one of those manifolds for me.

For science.

Word at work latey is the 6.2l engine production is supposedly coming to a halt along with the Ford Romeo plant shutdown. And its said this new 7.3l godzilla intake version is for a smaller displacement engine.

Now thinking about it, this new version has a bigger throttle body opening. Typically the bigger throttle body got a bigger displacement. I cant see Ford using a bigger intake on a smaller engine. Ive seen stranger things before, but i think someone has their info crossed.

Production for the newer style intake is said to be twice as much as the previous given their are twice as many machines for the new one.
