front strut bar

just picked up a bbk front upper strut bar for my 98 gt, and it doesnt fit. not only that, but its the stupidest fucking design ive ever seen because it doesnt bolt up to the struts like a normal strut bar, instead i now have to drill holes into my strut tower, and remove my front wheels to get to the inner fender liner so i can remove that to get to the bolts for this stupid bracket. and it came with a "firewall adapter" incase it doesnt reach the firewall properly to bolt it in, and big surprise, it doesnt reach.

ive heard rumors that there isnt a strut bar that will fit the 98 because its slightly different for one reason or another, but this one says itll work for the 94-02 models. is there something im doing wrong? can you maybe post pics of your set up if you got the front upper. thanks in advance

i would sell it with the quickness...when i took mine off when i was workin on my car, i took it for a nice little drive :naughty: and i couldn't tell any differences with it in and with it out. there are alot better things you can do with that money.

sell it seriously, i think they are more or less worthless unless you do ALOT of open track racing, plus your car needs to be optimized to take advantage of what an STB is supposed to do.
