Interesting. There's a couple guys running watt's links for drifting and they seem to have stupid amounts of grip for it, so I'm definitely interested to see how it looks.

Well apparently this thread is back, didn't notice until just now. I should have been paying attention, my bad ;)

Since it seems like people are still interested, I'm going to start working on this again. Drew it up in Solidworks so here's a rendering of it as of right now.

Would that use a diff cover as an attachment point to the rear axle?

Yeah, the plan is to use a diff cover like this, and use the bracing points and lower bolt as attachment points for an aluminum plate with different bolt holes for roll center adjustment

What about the possibility cranking or bolts shearing? Just curious.
I think it was the Saleen watts link. similar design had a lot of issues with bolts shearing.

We'll find out, I'm going to stress test the crap out it to make sure it's strong.
It's a similar design to what I've seen used in a few others. Some companies machine their own diff cover with integrated mounting holes, but that's not something I'm going to get into right now

Just looked up the saleen design, they only use one bolt which doesn't distribute the load very well; everything is centered on a single bolt and there is no top plate. The three bolt design I'm using will be a lot stronger

This just came in the mail, shits about to get serious. This cover has holes for axle braces so they'll be strong enough to use for two of the plate's mounting points.

Prototype of the plate is coming along. Going to add two more lower bolts for a total of 5 attachment points.

Nice where did you get it? I ordered thru both summit and jegs and they both had it back ordered so I ended up paying a little extra and getting it from amazon of all places

I don't know if I ever told you, but the fact that you're designing and making parts for these cars has me all kinds of excited and I need to get the project line moving and get to the 95.
