Do I REALLY need the fuel line disconnect tool to swap out a new fuel filter? The videos from LMR looks like a pinch and a twist and viola! There’s a plastic part and a white coupler. Can I share tree mechanic this or ???

Yes. Can you do it without the tool, maybe. Why make it harder than it needs to be?

The tool can be rented from autozone and makes life much much easier.

I actually was able to R&R without the tool kit. I just used a small, curved Needle nose plier to grab the side of the white clips, pulled them away a bit then used the curvature of the needle nose to wedge them off. Worked a charm and didn’t damage them. Upon reinstall, clipped right back in place. Result!!!
