fuel preasure

i have a 1995 GT.The car sat for five years.I replaced the fuel tank and everything in it.I'm not enough fuel pressure.If I push down on the scharde valve on the fuel rail,is the fuel suppose to hit the underside of the hood.Mine just barely comes out of the rail.
need some help.

Just pick up a fuel pressure tester some where, you can get a decent one for like $40, better safe than sorry.

Hayne's manual says 30-40 psi at idle.

Autozone rents a tester that I actually have rented out right now. It's $160 deposit but you receive full refund if you return it within 90 days.

EDIT: here it is, really a nice kit actually.
