On my 95 GT the airbag light would flash "code 12." Noticed that Fuse 4 was blown, replaced fuse and it popped right away. I then unplugged the SRS module then replaced fuse. The fuse stayed intact. Now its either the connector at the module or the module. i took apart the module just to see if it was something obvious on the inside, and it was! A Black oval "capacitor/ Voltage stabilizer" was cracked and noticeably warm. I cut out the "capacitor" and reinstalled the module to test it temporarily, and it worked! Car showed code 52, i jumped the grey connector until the beep and now the light is off. FYI i did order a new module.
Hope this helps someone

You can probably replace that capacitor, too. Then you have a spare module at hand, if you already ordered a new module.

No clue but I’m sure they’re not expensive. Your best bet is to grab one from a u pull that hasn’t had the airbags go off so you know the module isn’t bad.
