I spent 500 bucks for it :naughty: Guy was hard up for cash. Hate to take advantage of people like that but hey it was a once in a life time deal. Im going to sell the complete motor with all the bolt ons and everything for 2k. Im basically going to pull it out and put it on a pallet and its done. There's nothing wrong with it. Run super good. When I sell it If an out of stater buys it I'll throw in shipping for free. My sister works at fed ex and I get 75% off ALL shipping.

i think that setup should get you to your goals...but i agree...stay away from the nitrou (a big shot anyway) i personally wouldn't go more than like a 75 shot...

just curious as to why you don't want to go F/I?? This will get you to your goals a lot qiucker, without having to worry about ripping off your heads and everything? Boost isn't dangerous or anything, as long as you keep it downward to 10lbs on the stock block..

But if you're set on doing the setup you listed above..good luck man! That should definately get you to your goals! Keep us posted!

jpajkos - I lended a hand on a 97 2V to a 4V swap and that was no fun. It took 2 weekends. It was rewarding as hell to go for a ride in it, though. :santa_cool: Thanks anyway...

97stanger - I think that my setup would be the cheapest way. I'm thinking $2,000 or less and I'll get this swap done. When I take my old engine out and put the new one in, maybe I'll build it up for a forged internal, low compression F/I Vette killer. Ha ha...

I'll take pics the whole way. I can't wait for my tax check to come. :dancing6:... I'm actually thinking about buying a 4V out of a Lincoln. The idea was just thrown at me and now that I have some time to think about it, I may go for it. It was such a pain in the ass, though. It took so much time running the harnesses. Has anyone else done this swap?

I haven't done the swap before but I know it's worth it in the end. Im not sure what the difference is between the cobra 4v and the loncoln 4v but from what I've heard theres not much differnt.

I know the intake manifold is different and the computer is de-tuned. I'd get a harness and a computer from a Cobra instead of using the Lincoln stuff. If I can find the harness and the computer, maybe I'd go for the 4V swap. It'll put me over budget, though.
