That's an extra $3,120.00 yearly! (40 hours weekly)

Ha I have done tons of number running.

Because of school I only get about 34 hours a week but still, any extra bit help. I still do detailing/lawn mowing/handy man things on the side.

That's where the good money is its just not consistent ha.

Hoping to get my lower back next week, then when I get paid I should be able to order the upper.

Sorry for no pics in a while, I know people hate reading ;p
Bought some new black door panels out of a 94 yesterday, leather inserts instead of vinyl like mine was, as well as felt in the map pocket. I fell in love :)

My industrial electrical career is inconsistent due to the health of the economy. When Bush was in office, work was steady. I lost about 35k last year due to slow work.

Man I am really sorry to hear that =/

I work in a yacht plant so things aren't exactly bumpin for us either. I have just gone 8 months or more working there doing way more than I was ever supposed to, gaining tons of skills so they decided to put me up to a normal pay rate.

Re: G36 Monkey's 1999 3.8, Swapping in a 4.2 (New Years Eve Update)

Ha, I like the interest :)

Right now I am on a hold list for vapauto, he is prototyping a new design on his throttle body and improving the intake more. I can wait for improvement ;p

The other hold up is the oil pan, pickup tube, girdle, and a few other things I need. Super six wants 375 for it, which is a good chunk of change lol. But he would send me the bolts for the timing chain cover which is also something I need because that's another major hold up.

I am probably going to get the transmission rebuilt here pretty soon because that's going to take a few days, and right now I have another car to drive.

O and I put on the MGW short throw and now my 5th gear no longer grinds :)

Sorry boring update with no pics, but soon, soon :D

Re: G36 Monkey's 1999 3.8, Swapping in a 4.2 (New Years Eve Update)

Expecting that in about 2 weeks I should be able to order the rest of the stuff. Today ordered the new oil pan (6 qt) and all the fixins I need with it.

Also ordered a special tool to turn the crank ha.

Tomorrow is pay day, so I will probably go ahead and get the starter, coil pack, power steering, anf any other accessories I think I need to replace.

Next week I will probably look into a clutch and pressure plate, still not sure what to get. Then next pay day should be transmission rebuild.

Then save about 800 to get tuned and buy a tuner, and it's done until I decide to do the rear end. Then suspension after that :D

Re: G36 Monkey's 1999 3.8, Swapping in a 4.2 (June 10 Update)

Ok guys, this is the plan.

Pulling the motor this weekend. Getting the trans rebuilt this week, resurfacing the flywheel and reassembling the bottom end of my motor.

Getting a Ford TOB, and slapping this baby back together and hopefully going in next weekend. I go on vacation the following week, then I need to wait to get paid.

Should be getting tuned in the beginning of July.
Would you guys start it before I can get on the dyno, or would I be too much at risk of running rich or lean and causing major problems.
