So time has come to replace the failing 8' flourecent lighting im currently using as a few sets have started to fail. What's everyone using for their shop or garage with high ceilings? My biggest pet pee is never having enough light. Suggestions?

With enough LED strips, anything is possible. And with natural or warm white it's a lot easier on the eyes.

I used led Hex kit. Way more brighter than anything I've ever had. I have a photo somewhere, if I can find it lol.

I'm generally happy with my setup (link below). The thing is that with low-end led fixtures they just don't put out the light that better ones do. I don't know enough about light emissions to understand why but I've noticed I need a lot more cheap ones to get the same output. I have thirteen of these Sunco ones in the ceiling of the garage. Overall happy and would buy them again.

One thing I'll say about them is the light output on cheaper lights just isn't the same as better ones. I don't know enough about the subject to understand why lumens can be the same but the "flood" can be different. I just made up for it by using more of them.

I tried to increase the lighting in the garage a while back and added a couple but I still found myself using a headlamp while I was working inside the car just last night with tinted windows and all. I got the light for a different reason but it has been in my garage pretty much ever since I got it.

Mine's setup a little different.

I have the UFO lights (9 total) on different switches so I can turn 1 section on at a time.
I also have LED rope light all around the perimeter between top of walls and ceiling.
Then I have LED lights on the walls to assist when I am trying to see better when detailing cars. These are smaller on the upper wall and longer on the side walls.

LED Rope lights only - Can change color but I like the green.

Same angle but with UFO lights turned on.

All lights on.

nah, think about how hard it would be to get the lighting lined up with the lift JUST RIGHT and all the time it saves you to not have that concern. Who wants to deal with problems like that?

Went and grabbed a few 5k ufo lights and all I can say is I'm very impressed. They light up the shop like a football field at night. May add a couple of 8 ft leds on the walls. Other than that I'm very happy to with the lighting now.
