what kind do you guys recommend for headers?

I would say the original ford ones or some of those percy's dead soft metal ones. Don't get cheap ones or you will and i mean will be replacing them and that isn't fun at all. :nonono:

Exhaust leaks suck. I just had new long tubes put on and used the gaskets that came with them from BBK. Not sure what they were. Before that I had the percy's and they still leaked real bad. Not sure if was the old headers themselves or the gaskets. Whatever is on there now does not leak at all. It is a beautiful thing.

Fel-pro or Mr Gasket I use fel-pro and no leaks.

no matter what NEVER use a paper style gasket, they WILL blow out.

I use a Percy mls and haven't had any leaks with them.
I do use Stage 8 locking header bolts so maybe that helps alittle 8)

stock & stage 8 bolts, they are a pain to put in, but they stay in!
