unfortunately my stang is a daily driver in the winter too. i want to get 4:10's after winter and was wondering if this would be ok or should i get 3:73's? I do both highway driving and through the city
You can get 3.90s too most forget about them, they might be a bit harder to find but IMO must be a very nice gear. 3.73 is just a bit too low and 4.10 might be too high if you do lots of highway. if your auto deff go 410 though.
Its up to you...I have an auto with 3.73s my brothers got an auto with 4.10s...I cant even get traction with the 3.73s...he runs an annoying amount of rpms anywhere above 65 mph.....he has 4.10s and was the one who told me get 3.73s. I would say 3.73s unless you live at the strip
Seriously if you do a good amount of freeway/highway driving and street driving you should consider FRPP 3.73's or 3.90's if you want good MPG.I have FRPP 4.10's in my car and I don't get good MPG because I have a hard time keeping my foot out of it.Either way you will notest a difference from the crappy stock 2.73's,3.08's,or 3.27's. Since your car is a auto I bet you have 2.73's or 3.08's in there right now.
Dude, mine is a DD too. I love my car as a DD more now that I have the 4.30s in than when I had 3.55s
dont fear the gear... 4.30s FTW!!!! cant wait to get mine... if your scared just get 4.10s... screw anything lower... but if you dont want those cuz of supposed MPG loss.. then get 3.90s... not 3.73s...
i dont really car about the mpg, i just dont want anything to get screwed up with all the driving i do
