It does though, when you smash the gas it's obnoxious and not "racy" like a OHC engine should be

I did make a short video
With my care on flow masters with the 44 system
No cats on
And 4 valve
Now 4 valve for some reason have a raspy popping that I dont care for
But on mine it sounds pretty decent
If you do want the clip , let me know
You will find it on what did you do to your car

But to me your car sounds pretty good

Sounds like a 2V with Flowmasters to me. The rasp is likely from the X pipe.

I’m old school I guess, but nothing sounds better to me than a pushrod V8 Ford with Flowmasters. It sounds like a muscle car should sound, not like an Indy car. Just my two cents.

I do agree with that one
Its all about cam intake heads
In my case flowmaster 44 series

I was at a sonic one night the guy behind me tap my window. I had it up, asked me if I could turne the car off
So he could place an order and hear

Bad thing I'm in my mid 50s and this guy was probably in his late 20s
Who the bigger kid

My 95 just has a deep rumble to it that will set off alarms
Vibrate glass if in a glass shop you can just feel it
Its not raspy or has that popping sound
Its a really good flow

I have to get a video of my exhaust now and post it. Op I think it might change your mind lol.

But I’m all seriousness if I had to switch to something else I’d probably go with borlas because they sound mean but don’t drone.

I like the sound of flow masters on some one else’s car just not on mine. I have had vehicles with different exhaust systems like corsa and borla. Once I had corsa and borla I was convinced to never use flow masters again. For several reasons.

you car will sound the same as every 16 year old kid down the block. It Won’t be unique

they will vibrate your dash apart. Drone too much.

I like my girl to ride with me and would like to have a conversation with her without yelling.

I like to be quiet and loud with one exhaust.

Flowmasters rob horsepower.

This lol. My car came with FM and while it sounded good with the shorty headers and hollow cats, the drone was unbearable at highway speed with the gears. My ears were ringing after I got home with it from picking it up 2 hours away. I changed to Borla Pro XS and couldn't be happier. Great tone with no drone.

As far as flowmaster robbing power
I not sure about that
But I don't have cats or a smog pump so it equals out

I have Flowmasters on my 96 GT and love them. I have seen several places that show they do rob some power compared to some others, but it isn't much. I have Summit turbo mufflers on my 88 Crown Vic that has a 5.0l and they sound good. They are well made for a rolled seam muffler and are made in USA. Engine Masters did a dyno test on budget mufflers and they performed very well. I do like the Flowmaster sound better overall though.

My 1st mustang was a 2000 GT 2v. i had a mac prochamber on it with 40 series flowmasters. Everyone loved the sound of that car. really deep and hollow sound. i couldn't do it now, but it got lots of good attention.
