The shims did the job for me. I tried to adjust it using the pedal, no go.

Ive been looking at exhaust systems. I like the Flowmaster 50 series, but I don't see any of their systems with the 50 series and SS tips. Im not familiar with the Magnaflow offerings. The misses wants it quiet.

At 22 years old Im starting to see rust spots on the muffs. Im going to get it up on the rack, maybe I will just replace the muffs and leave everything else. Ive got a good exhaust guy and he owes me some labor, so whatever I do is cost only on the parts.

Keep in mind that almost any aftermarket muffler will induce drone between ~1800 and ~2200 RPM. The Dynomax VT's I mentioned do not. They are quiet at idle and cruise, but open up quite a bit at WOT. I liked the volume and deep tone of my Dynomax Super Turbos, and decided to add Heimholtz tuning tubes to negate the drone.
