goddamn radiator hoses

would i be fine with gates from autozone/rock auto. it seems i have to buy them all separate as there is no pre built kit i can find. dont really feel like spending the amount mishimoto wants just for hoses and dont feel i need them. motor is stock. also dumb question. thoughts on champion radiators.

also im confused, you can buy just the lower that goes to radiator or the whole t assembly. im assuming it would be better just replace the whole thing and the upper to the crossover.
everytime i try searching i get a whole bunch of other stuff or im just terrible with search function.

there is nothing special about the mishimoto hoses other than the price. You will be fine with something from the local parts store and you should be able to buy either side alone.

give it time LMR will get the hoses as a kit for the 4.6 DOHD CAM

and there pretty solid and cheaper its all 1 piece lighter

Idk for the NewEdge but someone showed me LMR has all the hoses but one for my 98 DOHC, I imagine they have them for the 99-04 as well

So I need a new gasket for thermostat housing. Everything is pulled out. Condenser, radiator. Going to do new hoses. Saw this ugly sight. Am I fine with the o ring ones on lmr?

Yeah I know the rubber and gasket aren't pretty.
Yes I will be doing a new t stat along with everything.

Fyi just finished cutting out the lower radiator support, ran out of time, Only day management isn't on apt property lol and maint is cool with me but I work tonight. Have to go back with a grinding wheel and pretty it up and spray it with anti rust stuff before I install the MAF lower.

Yeah those hoses are dry-rotted and ready to go. The O-ring from LMR is fine, it's a direct Motorcraft replacement. Make sure to re-use the constant tension clamps.

think im ready to go, t stat housing oring not pictured. going to throw in the lower radiator support again and the upper mishimoto mounts with radiator in place and set everything best i can with lower tubular radiator support. eyeball it. its jacked up in front so i cant plumb bob or level but even if it was on ground it wouldnt be 100%. ready to get car back and running. its been near a month goddamn it.

to MODs. maybe i missed it. If there is, i apologize but their should be a wiki that 99-01 cobra parts, specifically radiator hoses/heat coolant hoses are a direct cross over for 03-04 mach 1s.

it makes sense but im dumb and i didnt connect the two. same motor, same everything.
for everyone googling.

03 04 mustang mach 1 coolant hoses are same as the 99 01 ford mustang cobra. some hoses will need to be looked under heater hoses.
