I'd def go wit gold as numero uno and black as numero twoo. The gold is kind of euro inspired and goes with the spokes in the FR500s without looking euro. 8)

clean them...

Start with 80gritt-180--220----320---400----600---1000---1500---2000---

which each step make sure you sand out all the sand scratches of the gritt before...

or this is atleast how you did it old school.

after you take it down to the bare metal, do you have to worry about rust?

I bought the kit at autozone,or advance.....either way,it was around 20 bucks,it's made by Dupli-Color.....and called High performance ceramic caliper paint kit...comes with the ceramic liquid, prep spray, brush, and tape. I wire wheeled, and lightly sanded before using the prep spray. I did two fast coats, along with the rotor hats, and dust shield. I'll get some better pics of it tomorrow for ya....those were with my buddies crappy razor. The best thing about this stuff is that it's like bullet proof....it still looks brand new even after all this time.

Black on the stock caliper since they are not that sexy so why make them stand out...

I don't think red looks bad either...never had anyone say my car looked Christmasey
