Well was able to sell my 95 over the weekend as well as trade in my daily driver Honda for this little gem to be my new daily driver now that snow (usually) isn't a problem for us in Atlanta, and when it is they just tell us to stay home anyway.

2009 GT500 Vert - 9,000 miles
Vapor silver with red/black leather (1 of only 4 with this combo)
Stripe delete (could make this a 1 of 1 car when factored in with interior/exterior)

Drivetrain is bone stock as far as I can tell. Only mods so far are sequential taillight wiring, a set of Nitto NT555's to replace the factory rubber, and some nice under hood aluminum reservoir caps. Verified that the car has had its clutch replaced under the TSB at about 7,000 miles and it feels great. I think I'll probably do the basic intake, programmer, and pulley in the next year or so. Before that this thing will need some sort of axle back upgrade because it's way too quiet. We have emissions down here so won't be going crazy with the exhaust anytime too soon. Also looking into the H&R rear springs to try and bring the "stinkbug" stance down to a reasonable level. Other than that I'm just going to enjoy it as it's going to have to be a reliable daily for me.

Just got it Saturday night and haven't had time to get any good pics of it yet really, but here's what my wife snapped as we picked it up.

Next to the old daily

Back home and inside the garage (ignore my permagrin)

Took the daughter out for her first ride in a convertible as well as her first ride in a forward facing car seat.

Nice upgrade man! My buddy has a 07 GT500, awesome cars.. Keep an eye out for the clutch, the early GT500s were prone to faulty clutches. He's got the same stance too, backs in the air and the fronts down lol. Beautiful car good luck with it!

wonder how hard it would be to make the 2011-12 GT500 axle back I have work.

I don't know, how much of a difference is there between the two? Been trying to figure that out all morning. Everytime I try to do a search it just comes up with tons of stock axle backs for sale and guys with GT's with WTB ads.

I've been eye'ing the SVE axleback from Latemodel Restoration, but that will probably be a couple months down the road til that happens.

Don't waste your time with a stock axleback.. Those cars sound sick with a MAC axleback or Magnaflow.. The straight through stuff sorta sounds retarded since the mufflers are by the tips. Especially with an off-road X.

That was actually taken right after I started it up in the garage by my wife. She was screaming prior to that (hates being in the carseat if we're not moving) and as soon as I started it she stopped and got interested in what was going on. Within 3 minutes of leaving the garage she was already asleep.

I hadn't been really considering the 10-12 factory exhaust but liked the noise level and crackle of the SVE unit on their site. I like the Borla stuff too, but the price is way higher for what is essentially the same exact thing. I'll probably keep the rest of the exhaust stock as we have emissions testing here in my county and swapping catted pipes back and forth just isn't worth the extra few hp anymore. This thing won't be a heavily modded racecar any time soon. Basic boltons and that will be it.
