Goodbye to the Mustang

Well, it's been a short ride but it's time for me to sell my Mustang and the tons of parts that have been gathered. I've been hit with some personal family crap-o-la, need the money more than the toy. I have had a blast hanging out here and everyone's been so nice. Had some great laughs, got terrific advice and learned a lot about Mustangs.

I think the biggest thing I've learned is that next time I need to buy a car that is the one I want, instead of getting one that needs to be made into the car I want. This Mustang was affordable to buy but ended up putting in a upgraded PI engine, had to have the transmission rebuilt, don't like the color but can't afford to get it repainted, put in new seats because the old ones were crap, ended up with 3 hoods! For all the money I put into it, I could have bought a Cobra!

I'm sorry to hear that, but it's understandable. Priorities. I hope to still see you around from time to time.

Yep, I learned my lesson when I bought my green V6 back in 2007. I didn't really like the color. I hated that it was a 6 cylinder. I hated that it was an automatic. I hated a lot of stuff about it. I decided at that point, when I buy my next SN95, it's going to be what I wanted from the get-go. Along came the red cobra. But then it's too pristine and I don't want to tear it apart when the "mod bug" comes around, so along came the white cobra... It's never ending.

Don't leave us!!!!

In my experience I very much enjoyed taking junk and making it what it is today! But that also took like 6 years and wasn't very economical...

Hopefully you make it back here soon enough in a cobra

You sure acquired a bunch of parts for the car! It's a shame you have to part ways with it without installing and enjoying everything you had for it. Like Orange said though, hopefully you can come back in a Cobra! Good luck with everything!

I was kind of getting that hint when I saw all the parts you listed for sale.. You gotta do what ya gotta do. You'll find the one you really like eventually, it'll probably just pop out when you're not expecting it. Good luck to you!

Sucks that sometimes hard times fall on us...but most of the time it makes us stronger ppl!...Priorities come 1st and atleast you know yours.

Sucks the mustang has to go,but there is one good thing coming from this.....i will be buying as many parts as i can afford from you!!! haha
