Today the misses and I drove a 94 GT convertible home with a measly 49,000 miles on the clock. Its bone stock and has always been garaged. White exterior, white top, red/black interior. I have owned many Mustangs and just sold a 65 289/C4 Mustang to buy this car. I still have a 65 200/C4 Mustang and a 64 F100 yet to sell. I need the garage space.
Spent the first week of ownership doing some maintenance. Ford Motorsport C-springs, KYB struts and shocks, oil change, wiper blades, needed tires so I bought a set of American Racing Torq Thrust-Ms and 245/45/17s. Im very happy with the car, rides nice, clean undercarriage, no leaks, all original except for the usual maintenance items. I even took off the original struts and shocks.
The interior is great. I was apprehensive at first but the longer we have it, the more we like it. The cars runs like new, zero issues, even with 21 year old plug wires and the original cap and rotor. I think we are going to own this one for many years.
Welcome! I had a white 94 vert with the white top and same color interior. I will say one mod to the interior that really made it look great was Black carpet. Pretty funny, my vert had the same door guards yours has. Here is my old one. And a pic of the interior so you can see the Black carpet.
I was told the 94/95 red interiors were only available to fleet sales and car rental companies. That would explain the door guards. Mine is a 5 speed. It seems unlikely that a 5 speed would sneak onto a rental lot. That's two of us with white on white with a red interior. According to the Red Mustang Registry, there were only 34 made with that combination. What became of yours?
Sold it to a kid in Pittsburgh. Last I heard he swapped in a Viper Spec T56, ditched the Vortech S-trim and went with a 408 and a big ass turbo.
