Hey I have most everything I need to get the gt40 head and intake install going and done.

I bought all the gaskets, bolts, hoses, plugs, coolant, oil, larger tb, elbow, etc
What do I do for the egr and pcv systems?
My intake has the hole in the upper and lower in the center.
Will this work on my 95 5.0?
What do I need to block off or hook up?
The heads are gt40 so I don't think they have the holes in the back for egr.
What about act sensor?
Is that an issue with the sn 5.0's?
any advise will be appreciated.

Ive done tons of searching, but so much info and mis-info.

Thanks,
Doug

PS Any reputable tuners in the Portland Oregon area?

ACT sensor goes in your intake pipe after the MAF, so no need to worry about the bung in the lower. you can block off the EGR with intake gaskets that block the passages from the heads into the lower. SN95s pull the egr from the P/S header. I had a non-EGR upper, so I got a threaded plug and tapped the hole in the lower.

Also, the fox valve covers may interfere with your intake trac. the oil filler hits the throttle body. AFAIK the sn95 covers have sufficient clearance for cobra 1.7 rockers.

+1
used my stock valve covers to clear 1.7's, just took the baffle out of the passenger side cover and good to go!

I run Fox VC, but I have a true SN GT40 intake. No elbow, it's tight but it works fine.

The GT40s *should* have the EGR ports. I know there were different versions of the GT40 heads, I have a Explorer set in my garage as well. Anyway, just plug the ports at the back of the head, IIRC some size of a NPT plumbing plug works.

The holes you are referring to in the back of the heads are not for EGR, they are for AIR, which is what your smog pump does. EGR holes are in the middle of the head from the exhaust port on one of the center exhaust ports. No need to block it off or do anything with it. Your upper will not have the EGR port in it, nor will your spacer. You should be good to go.

I plugged my e7's with a set of plugs I got off ebay for like $5. I just searched something like ford thermactor plugs and found the right ones. I think you can also get them off late model restoration as well. The ones I got from ebay actually came in a set of 4 for $5 so I have a spare pair for the future.
