Either way I'm going to run with. . Tired of this pos. Broke a lower intake bolt. . I was able to use needle noise pliers to get it out..

I think the manual pic you posted and the one I posted differ. The gaskets both say "front" but the holes are differently blocked. I think you should be fine either way!

Its cool. When I posted the question I could not find my manual.. but I was trying to get it done so I just went for it.. just did it like my 5.0.. when I found the manual I saw it was also open on the rear. . But most of the pics on the manual are from earlier 3.8.. you just can't find any info on the 3.8 online. . I should of left the letters visible. . But I didn't even think about it at the time. . Oh well. .

Ha.. this one seems fine so far. . Someone besides me striped the oil pan plug so I can't change the oil. . I gave up on it. It's perfectly round. . the bolt extractor won't bite. It just breaks lil pieces off the bolt. .
