The local drag strip opens up saturday and i plan on making a few runs. last season my car ran a best of 15.2 with the mods in my sig only thing new is a 200 amp alt. 315 tires in the rear 180* thermostat a fan relay switch and optima battery. i plan on removing the rear seat and passenger seat for my runs and with it being much cooler than when i ran it last year im hoping to break in 14's do you guys have any suggestions? my elevation is 2306ft.
:nonono: i always forget to look if people have a 5.0 or 4.6 hahaha with those times i just assumed it was a NPI :dunno:
well it was about 75* out, i didnt pull any seats or subs and kept my corner light in and the best i ran was a [email protected] That run was after 2hours of cooling down consistantly ran a 15.42 to 15.48 ranging from 90 to 93 mph. only good news i have to tell you is i got second place in the bracket bonnaza (Street Legal) dialed in at a 15.40 got 50 bucks and a trophy so i wasnt totally depressed
Do automatic trannys really make that big of a diffrence? i got a best of 14.5 before i put the cobra intakes on and the new throttle body and cold air.
if you can drive youll hit 14s bone stock with just gears/exhaust i was running mid 14s WITH 18" saleens in 80-90 degree weather in the summer
what do you mean if i can drive? i turn overdrive off, rev against the brake and then mash it, what else does it take with an auto?
I'm sure he did'nt mean anything by it... is it better to turn your overdrive off? i always raced with it on when i had an auto i had a friend who like it on better too in his 91 gt :dunno:
ive been told to turn it off by several people on these forums, but i have never noticed a difference, ive done it both ways many times and run almost the exact same
sry man i thought your sig said 5 spd...my bad...onyl reason i said people run there cars and get a 2.4ish 60' and wonder why they runs 15-16s
