I have the interiors completely out of my 96 Cobra and 02 GT for new carpeting and such. Dashes are both out also. The Cobra has over 204k and GT has 90k on the odometer. Both are street cars that will rarely see cold weather but, they will see cool temps.

Should I swap the heater cores while I am there? Or just leave it?

I should add that my GT never had the AC drained. So I would have to figure out something for that.

simple question: do you want to pull all that out again to replace a $40 part? I don't know what your time is worth but I would do it.

The first time I did the heater core in my old V6, it was an all day project, and a learning experience. The second time that I had to change it (same car) it only took a couple hours. At least there was a lifetime warranty on the $25 piece of shit aftermarket heater core, so I didn't have any cost in parts the second time around... but it's still a complete pain in the ass no matter how you look at it.

The GT has the engine out, in addition to the dash. I guess I will go ahead and order two heater cores.
