Hey all,

I bought my 2004 Mustang GT Convertible last September. Got a speeding ticket two days later. Woops.

It's a 5speed with silver exterior and black interior. 103,00 miles. I've replaced the top in October and plan for a tune up and suspension improvements this spring.

I know for sure I want to get sub frame connectors and shocks/struts. What has worked well for you guys to make a convertible mustang feel tighter but, not make the ride unbearable for a road trip?

Welcome! I'm sure some convertible guys will chime in. But probably the typical "easy" answer will be things like sub frame connectors, tower strut brace if you don't already have one, one for the rear struts if you don't care about losing trunk functionality. Other than that, that's about it (vert guys correct me if I'm wrong or missing something). If you don't mind taking the car apart and can weld, then there's significantly more you can do, but that is not the "easy" answer :).

I'd start with what I listed (SFCs, tower strut brace) and see how you feel about that, whether you think you need more. If you aren't tracking the car, then that should probably cover it.

Edit: If you are tracking the car, a weld-in cage will go a long ways to stiffening things up :)

Welcome to the site.

If you get some good shocks and struts, as well as lowering springs and some weld-in sub frames, you're car will feel much tighter and ride quality will be great!
