Hi guys !

I'm Per from Sweden and this is my first post here !

Last week I bought myself my first Mustang and it's a -95 vert GT 5.0 green/sand.

I have spend the week detailing it and took it out today for a ride. Last week I drove it home on the highway and everything went just fine. Today I found out that the idle stays high after a while and the car feels kinda "gutless". Tonight, just now Swedish time!, I have cleaned the maf and also thought that cleaning the "idle-controller"(electric idle) could be a good idea !. however I managed to break a piece of what I thought was a spring inside it trying to move it with a screwdriver and the idle has gone all wild !

The throttle-respons seems much finer now BUT the idle is 1800rpm ! ofcours it has to do with me breaking the idle-motor but is there a way to recalibrate the idle with this new "setup" or what do you think ? Right now it doesn't matter if I disconnect it, it still stays close to 2000 rpm..

It's not easy to find these parts here, else than new, so any help would be greatly appreciated !

Hope you guys understand my Swenglish !

/Best, Per from Sweden !

You say that you broke a spring within the MAF. That would be my guess as to what is wrong. :dunno:

Hi! That´s correct, not inside the MAF ! It´s inside the IAC and it´s not actually a spring, it just looks like it, but I gues it has to be replaced!

/Best regards , Per
