How can I open the trunk? Key is stuck in ignition because there is no engine or trans. How can I open the trunk?

Does it have the button in the glove box?? If so you need to get power to the harness in a safe manner and just pop it by the button.

If it’s a coupe, climb through the back seat and undo the latch.

Why is the key stuck in the ignition? That has nothing to do with the engine and trans being gone.

The motor or trans missing will not lock the key in the ignition. As he said try turning the wheel while turning

I removed the rear bezel and someone had already pried on the trunk. I just cut the latch with a grinder. All good now.

I have lots of good parts if anyone needs anything. I mainly bought it for the rear end, hood, and bumper cover. I will make a thread.

I had that problem once, I climbed through the back seat in my coupe, and used a screwdriver in the latch to wiggle it free

yea as he said with out the seat moving your going to have a hell of a time getting under it. Reach under the seat and disconnect the power wires and figure out a way to connect a battery to it.

Just tried by hand, impossible. Rear bolts are 13mm head for some reason. Might hafta destroy the seat...

There is the body harness left in the car. Isolate the wires which run under the seat and put power to them.
