help with aligning the headlight switch please

I recently did the american muscle white face gauges and took everything apart and when putting it together when I go to put my speedo trim over the headlight hole, it's way too high and not in the middle? I looked to see if I put it upside down or something, but I didn't and there's really no way to adjust it? Is there something simple I messed up on that I can fix?

see how when I try to snap on the trim piece it's high and to the corner, not in the middle?

btw, I can't post this anywhere else, I tried, and they deleted my post immediately

Hmm, that is pretty strange, when you took the pull switch off did it instantly snap over there?

IT LINES UP PERFECTLY ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE WITH THE CLIPS AND EVERYTHING, BUT THE ACTUAL SWITCH POST IS NOWHERE NEAR THE MIDDLE OF THE HOLE WHERE IT'S SUPPOSE TO BE
