help with PCV Valve

i was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on removing the pcv valve on a 5.0L? i know that its suppose to be on back of the engine by the firewall on the block but where exactly?

Look at the back of your lower intake....you gotta lean WAY over. It'd be pretty much directly below where the upper and lower intakes meet. Just run your hand down there. One you feel a large vaccum line, pull it. It will pop right out.

Thats true, i found mine when changing my intake, its a bit hard to see with the plenum on, but its there.

If you can try to get the filter out that sits directly below the PCV valve. They can get pretty grimy over the years. If you cant get one from your parts store you can take it apart and clean the screens and and filter part with some carb cleaner. Most PCV valve packages come with a diagram that includes a picture of the filter for reference at your parts store.
