Hid vs led headlights

I see what you mean, its that the led's are capped so they can be used in stock housings and you cant put that type of bulb in an hid projector since there will be a black spot. Hid's dont have that so they dont act like stock halogen bulbs in stock housings. And I dont think you need to have a high lumen rating with hid's since theyre meant for projectors which scatters the light evenly instead of the stock halogens which need a lot of light to reflect off the housings to allow them to focus the beam.
And I totally agree with you on raxiom, Ive gotten crap led's with them. Plus their projectors look so stupid with the angel eyes and leds in the housings. Id prefer hid retrofits if I could afford a set lol.

Edit: thanks man I went back and reread your post and thats what I wanted to know. Eventually I will get retrofits, I just wanted to get something to hold me over until then.
