The previous owner made a hole to install a switch. I’m asking for ideas to cover it up. I’m thinking like installing an ambient light or shift light. What do you all think???

Maybe fit a better fitting switch for some ambient lighting but I am not sure its the best location for an ambient light, or a shift light in my opinion. does your radio have a rear usb option? Or you can put a flashing led with a relay to turn on when the key is off like an alarm.

After thinking about for a while this is what I came up with to cover the hole. It’s a flexible vinyl Ford racing emblem. It’s suppose to go on floor mats. Well we will see how it turns out. I just ordered it.

That idea will cert be an improvement over the existing switch. BTW, what will you do with the existing electrical wires that are connected to the switch?

I’ll double check to see what the switch is for but I think it was for a sound system that is no longer there. Right now I flip the switch back and forth and it doesn’t do anything.

its all about where you drill the hole. IF he had only gone up a few inches in the black area the gauge shroud is easily replaced.
