I believe have a stock T5 manual transmission in my ‘95 SVT Cobra. Yes, there’s a new flywheel and clutch, and the 5.0 is stroked to a 347, but the transmission (to the best of my knowledge) was left stock.

So what 1st gear ratio does my T5 have??? A 2.90? A 3.35? I dunno!

Thanks, Opal. And just for my own education, how did you determine that? Thanks!

First gear on the original factory WC T5 in my 85 GT also was 3.35:1. That was the first gear ratio in all of the T5s for 302W fox body Mustangs. Some of the other fox Mustangs such as 4 cylinders had higher numerical ratio first gears. The aftermarket Ford Racing M7003Z "super duty" T5 has a 2.95 1st gear ratio. The 2.95 first gear T5s did not come from the factory in any fox Mustangs.
