How often do you change your oil?

There's been a lot of talk around here between my friends on how often you should change your oil. I know it's diffrent from regular oil and synthetic but i've been told every 5000 miles for my car i use Royal Purple 10W30 with a K&N oil filter i change it every 3000 miles anyway how often you guys think i should change it?

i change mine every 3000 or so but 5000 milez wont hurt if your easy on your car...

i would still recommend 3000 miles for the price of a filter and oil

im changing mine every 3k miles , motorcraft oil and filter. if ur running royal purple u should be able to change it every 6 k miles.

I use 10w30 and k&N filters and try to do it around 3000 miles.

ok well in the two cars that i run my 96 gt and my 91 lx well i run amsoil with a amsoil filter in the gt i go roughly 6k but in the lx i go 12500 then i change the filter and top off the oil then at 25k ill do a complete change amsoil is good stuff its still clean at 12500

I just changed my oil after 10k miles. I was running Mobil one 5w20 and a K&N filter, now im running Royal Purple 5w20 and a napa Wix filter

every 1500 or so. I get the stuff for pretty much damn free, and usually free at that, so copper plugs, oil and filter changes, and fuel filters go on a lot more often than most. gives me an excuse to work on the car too.

I will relax and back off when the oil looks brand new after 1500, then back it down to 2000, etc. until 3000.

we sell redline and royal purple, and I wouldn't use either. mine gets motorcraft 5w-30 and a motorcraft filter, I think the fancy oil change stuff is a bunch of bologna. if the car doesn't call for synthetic from the factory, it doesn't get it.

Since the new short block, every 1500! Got 3500 on it now and at 4000 I'll put full synthetic in and change it every 4-5k

3000 is good but 5000 is when i change it. but if u run synthetic stuff, it wont break down as badly as regular motor oil. u can probably safely go over 5000 with seeing any damage...
i liek th royal purple... nothing but good things
