My car trapped 108 mph with iron heads and f303 so the cam isn't ur problem ... The trans is ur main issue I know another buddy lost 12mph when he went to a tko
I can't say I disagree there. The tko is strong, but the shifting versus the T5 is much shittier, it weighs more, has more drivetrain loss, and has a really long 1st. Sometimes I'm tempted to put the T5 back in. Especially, with the power I'm making, I'm sure the T5 would be fine.

Could be worth a shot or sell the tko and get your t5 redone with gforce guts

let me see if I can help iv been through this before I had about the same setup in my 95 stock bottom end with gt40 iron heads mild clean up port, real cobra intake,1.7 rockers, e303,70tb,75mass air with cold air,373 gear,t5,mac upper and lowers,1 5/8 shorty headers with prochamber and 2 chamber flowmasters, I did spray a zex 125 shot dry and got 2.0 60ft with nitto 245-45-17 with stock cobra rims. I changed to front and back drag springs with right rear air bag from laurel mountain mustang. and dropped my 60ft to 1.77 everything else on susp is stock.

now the thing with the tko. I had a new tko600 that I put in with my 347 all done at same time with 3.73 gear. and car would not move until around 3k. the first gear is too low and I did other things to motor to try and get it to go even went to 4.10 gear better but no luck. the t5 with 302 would launch better than my 347 and tko even with going to 4.10 gear. I can tell u a tko don't like to shift higher than 6000 in stock form. I broke mine with 500 miles on it and tremac said its not a racing trans. they have plastic shift pads that cant handle that high of a shift. I would say work on susp and weight I had all acc with stock belt size also. sorry so long

suspension is also key when it comes to better 60' times as it aids in the weight transfer when launching off the line. I went with strange 10 way adjustable struts a few years ago and its amazing how the car reacts to different suspension settings. Other then that it comes down to traction and the driver mod. So far my best 60' times are a mid 1.6 on slicks and 1.7 on MT DR's

My basically stock 95 GT managed a 2.3x 60 foot time with the 5 speed. Clutch control is the key. I'm launching at about 3500 and slipping the clutch. My car also has 285 nitto 555s on the rear. Don't just dump the clutch or it'll either bog down or just light up the tires off the line. 2.7 60" is horrible, there's something wrong there.

I'm getting 1.9xx with a stock motor, tubular upper and lowers in the rear, and Hoosier bias ply tires. Being a fat convertible doesn't help me. Best 60 is 1.93x. Can't remember the end off hand
