How-To: Hidden Hood Pins

Thats some innovation! i like the look of the old school pins for dressing up a stock hood, but on an aftermarket clean hood like this, that's a great idea

Is it possible to take a strip of sheet and put holes in it to fit, giving the pins a bit of a brace beyond simply the plastic?
