I have discovered that my Front Bumper Frame Damper Vibration Balance Weight on my 1995 Mustang GT Convertible is broken.

I am trying to remove it, but cannot figure out how to remove the bracket from the front of the car. I have done some googling and found a thread where a guy said he did it without removing the bumper or fender, but I cannot see how.

There is a nut that is easily removed, but there also appears to be a bolt that comes in from the front of the car that I cannot see how to access with the bumper on.

Does anyone know how to remove this?

OK, I figured it out.

You can't take the front bracket out without removing the bumper, I suppose.

But the bracket is U-shaped. You can get a box-end wrench in there and remove the nut on the end of the dampener. The dampener has a molded-in stud on either end, and a nut holds it in place. You can get to that nut. I held up the dampener with a tow strap threaded down through the intake hole in the firewall so it didn't come crashing down on me while I took off the nut.
