I should get the 2 new tires on the 23rd (Friday). If they arrive early enough “my guy”will put them on that day. If they arrive too late, Monday!

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my choice from appearance to performance to NVH.

What size tires are you running. I just got the OEM Y2K Cobra wheels - 18 x 19.5 and am trying to figure out the fattest tires I can safely fit without rolling my rear fenders or rubbing up front. 275/35 18's and 305/40 18's????

Mine are 275/40-17 Nitto 555 Extremes on 17x9 Steeda Ultralites. 305's on the back will fit width-wise (I've seen some 315's on 10.5" wheels), but might be pushing it for a 9.5" wheel (?). I think a 305 with a 40 profile would also be too tall. There are a number of tire calculators out there to figure out what would be the same height as the 275/40-17.

For an 18 inch rim, 265 35 18 in the front, 285 35 18 for the back, you might have to give the parking brake cable mount a few love taps with a hammer, just to clear the tires. Any bigger most likely will need mods.

I got a set of wheels off of craigs list that were 17s with 335s and they would rub in turns/bumps.
