i have 1...and i love it :dancing6:
[attachment deleted by admin] SORRY RAN OUT OF ROOM, RE-UPLOAD IF YOU WISH!
I had one also, 97 auto RIO RED. It was brand new so it was very nice, just a slug to drive.
Thats prob one of the niceset V6s I have seen! luv that color!
ditto w/ what matt said.
what size of tires are you running out back? are those 17x10.5's?
thanks for the compliments....it was stolen a week ago and i just got it back...luckly only my system was stolen...anyways there 17/10.5 and i have 315's back there...
I had one too, a 98 lazer red v6. I really liked the car.....until I got my Cobra
I dunno, my v6 is a v6 but people don't give them enough credit. With what I have done I can walk a 94-98 GT with exhaust.
The newer 99-04 Split Port motors really have a lot of potential.
And besides, not everyone is over 25 or can afford a v8's insurance.
kiljosh.....whats the j-mod?
Goto their Tech Articles and look in the Transmission section for Jerry's Mod. It's basically a home-made shift kit, but with all the figures done by a guy that had a lot of experience with the AODE/4r70w tranny's.
Its cheaper than buying a transgo and if you have a good drill bit set it takes like 45 minutes to do. My 1-2 shift, with increased pressure from my chip and hogged out valvebody will chirp the tires at 40. :khobra:
my car chirps 1-2shifts with out that and i have 315's in the rear....but i do have an sct chip...
Yea, mine chirped after my chip too, but believe me. If you do the J-mod you'll love how your car shifts after. It feels like a mustang should feel.
I'm only 22. I bought my first 98 Cobra at 19. Insurance was around $150 a month before I wrecked it, it's around $200 now. Not cheap by any means but well worth the 4v power :bunny3:
I goto college all week and work only on the weekends. I make about $200/2 weeks. Nowhere near enough to manage all my bills, feed myself, and buy a cobra.
Maybe when I graduate? :noes:
My schedule's not much better. I go to work from 7:00am-4:00pm M-F and 7:00am-12:00pm Saturdays and go to college 5:00pm-7:45pm Mondays and Wednesdays and 6:00pm-9:15pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. I get very little free time.
my dad has a 94 V6 with a 5-speed, and its pretty fun to drive, bone stock. Doesnt compare to my 94 GT, but it definatly isnt bad, especially with the 5-speed. I had a 95 V6 auto before my GT and it was a bitch to drive. I'm only 18 and my insurance is $100 a month with no accidents or tickets ;D
You would be surprised what a beefed auto can feel like. My friend has a 2002 with a 2800 converter, transgo shigft kit and 3.73s and the thing takes off. Only other mods are springs and an exhaust.
I had a 98 blk v6 for about 2 years before i got my cobra.....it had some work done to it but it still wasnt anywhere near as fast as my cobra but for some reason i really enjoyed driving that car!!
