Maybe the autos dont, but any manual rwd car with any sort of power spins. I launch my 95 from 2200-2500 rpms and I spin depending on where I am racing. A good driver in a Mustang, doesnt matter if its a 5 liter, NPI, or PI, if you can drive, you can launch pretty good on anything. I can launch on a friends 03 Lightning and pull 2-3 cars and hold him off until I'm midway through 4th. My car has nothing more than 3.73s, exhaust, UPD's, and a good driver.

With just suspension work you can get a stock NPI into the low 13's, so I guess it depends on what he wants to get.
On the street suspension want work as well as on the track. The only way 13's stock is with a killer 60'.

Mike has LCA's, front coil over's, and a tubular K, it's totally streetable and he drives it everyday. Motor has a PI intake, otherwise stock as a rock. He has a 3200 rpm stall, Jmodded 4r70w, and has dipped into the 12's on slicks. I guess it depends on what you think works well on the street. His 60' are waaaay better than mine, and my car rides rougher than his.

Agreed.Theres gonna be a lot of pissed off Z06 ,Ford GT,F1 Mclaren and Lamborghini owners out there when they find out a stock NPI Mustang with a couple bolt on suspension parts and some slicks are runnin 12's. Actually 13's is pushin it for those mods. According to that info I should be runnin 10's ? lol
Or maybe hes talkin 1/8 mile ? :rollinglaugh:

soo for under 500$ where should i start

Either get gears ,or save your money and skip the projector headlights you want. Honestly man ,fast cars cant be built for $500 ,so you gotta decide whats priority.

Get in some track time in street trim and learn your car. Get time slips and try to reach 8.9's or faster with 2.0-2.1 60'.

8.9? my car ran a 9.49 with bald ass tires. k and n filter, and bbk orh w/nomuffs.

225rwhp is about 40rwhp more than stock plus that is though an auto. Thats gotta be a hell of a 60'.

My only point, as you can see, is that making it hook hard is always an option. As far as I know He only has a pi intake and normal bolt ons.

not bad what was the 60'. If you add mufflers it may help mod motor like alittle backpressure.

I have a G35, or my wife does anyway, it's fast. When my car was stock, it would have totally smoked it. My butt chronometer is telling me 14 flatish with absolutely no mods on the G35. Or in other words, nearly a full second faster than a stock NPI. Mine is an auto, and rated at 270 flywheel hp, vs. NPI@215.

Whats the torque on the G35?

I've tried to find that out, but it's not on the sticker on in the literature. It is a very nice car, and respectably quick, especially for a 6. It's also nicer to sit in than my Mustang.

I posted the HP and torque numbers on the first page. They are for a NEW G35.

Times are getting tough for our old cars when we need mods to beat a Nissan.
