I'm ready to install the MAF and the air filter on the vortech. I do have the anderson powerpipe and wondering how much of a pain is it to install? The hole where the pipe will go through is small and there is a wire loom and vacuum connectors, how do I go about re-routing these lines? Does the fender need to come off? What tool do I use to enlarge the hole?

Just to make it simple and easy, I was thinking just using the the air ducting and having the filter connected to the front but I don't have that part. Besides Vortech, where can I buy the regular plastic pipe to connect the MAF and air filter in front of the charger? For those who have the vortech, what is your set up for the air filter and MAF? Can you post some pics? Thanks

I just put mine one but I am also running some scottrod panels to smooth everything out. I am not sure how it was supposed to fit behind the stock apron myself as I ended up cutting almost all of the stock apron out behind the smoothed panel for it to fit. I also got a 45 degree elbow to go between the pipe/maf so that it will not stick out into the headlight bucket so bad as shown here. You can see the door edge guard I used on the old apron to keep from cutting into the pipe and I also added an aluminum brace to hold it all up as I am not sure how they expect that hole pipe/maf/filter to continue to hank from that one pipe clamp.

I used an air/body saw myself. And I am almost positive that is WAY too far down. I know because that is about where I cut my hole and then had to move it up. I think in the manual it says its a few inches from the top.

here is my most recent pic. If you look at the bottom you can see where I originally cut the hole and then moved/enlarged it towards the top till it fit. You can also see the aluminum strap I made to work as a support for it as well as the 45 degree boot to keep it out of the headlight bucket/support.

By chance do you have the link for the manual? I looked at the anderson website and I don't see it.

Question it might be a dumb one but why not just cut the hole from the inside to the outside? That way you could hold the pipe up there and see you are where you need to be and you would know you are where you need to be. Could be totally impossible I'm not sure. Just a suggestion. Hope ya get her done

I'm using a Pro-M maf and I don't have the plastic bellows sleeve to connect it to the end of the pipe. Where can I buy this sleeve at? Is this something I will be able to get at the hardware store?

I finally made the hole. Hows the position of the powerpipe? Is the elbow to the charger to high? Does it need to be lowered?
