Everything can be disassembled, did it once recently. The airbag covers aren't that bad, but you have to take your time to not damage them. The drivers just pulls off with a bit of prying action (but you can only do this with the airbag removed and in-hand). The passenger side airbag is kind of a bitch because the cover is riveted onto the airbag module. So you'd have to drill off the heads of the rivets and then the cover is yours to do what you want with. Riveting them back on is a bitch too because you have to make sure the plastic wrap of the airbag itself doesn't get mangled in the process. It's sort of like packing a chute to make sure you don't damage it.
I remember there being a 'porn red' for the interior (what we used to call it anyways) and it did look kind of good but I'm not sure if it was only specific to hardtop vs interior. LMR probably has both the carpet and the interior paint perfectly matched so it too shouldn't be hard to accomplish. Just have to make sure all the pieces are sanded down and cleaned to a surgical precision, then primered, before you do the painting. They have all that stuff at LMR though. Too easy.
Just make sure the pieces are cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and not acetone because the acetone will eat into plastic most of the time.
