I see alot on the manuals but mothing on automatics. I dont want to buy one and have it leave me stranded because i cant buy a oem one. Im not stupid so im not gonna try and start it in gear lol.i think its the 8 pin safty switch if that helps.thank you

Would this fit? While you know that the switch is bypassed and what problems that can cause, it reminds me of a situation I was a part of years ago on another site. A kid wanted to know how to bypass the clutch/neutral safety on his mustang so he could install a remote start. I told him that they make alarms for manuals that make it safe but what he is doing can cause big problems. He said the same thing that he was not going to be stupid and start it in gear and managed to figure it out on his own. Flash to 5 months later and he is mad because he dropped the car off at the dealership for service. The dealership moved the car from the front to the back and parked it, and when the tech walked up he didn't know about any of this and managed to hit the right sequence on the remote needed to activate the remote start. He then watched as the car start rolling forward, went up over a curb and then into the lake behind the dealership. True story....
Thats crazy but i dont want remote start and i wont let anyone touch my car besides me. Ill be the only on to work on my cars. Id need have reliability so im not stuck on the side of the road ording one from orielys and changing it without jack stands because of a stupid safety switch. I am normally happy to help anyone with wiring questions but I want nothing to do with telling you how to do this for my own liability. This kid tried to sue the dealership after he knowingly bypassed a safety piece and was even warned about it. I am not so sure if I had given him the instructions he wanted that he would not have sued me as well.
