I had an oil pressure issue. Not sure why yet. The tuner and I thought the gauge was messed up but he gave me an opportunity to back out. I said let’s send it and see what happens. I guess the gauge was right and I did have low oil pressure. As of right now my theory is that the technician at my job who relocated where I had my oil filter relocation kit and to try to stop the leaks plumbed the lines wrong. If they weren’t out to in and in to out that would explain the problem.

ouch. That is the exact reason I decided to keep my plx gauges in addition to the holley system gauges. I wanted to be able to have a 2nd gauge to verify what was or was not being read so with them I have 2 oil pressures, 2 fuel pressures, ect. The plx design is nice because it can monitor all the sensors and alert me if something is wrong with out needing to have one gauge for each sensor.

I have some good friends. They pulled the engine while I was working an hour away. They are really helping me get this back up and running with as little down time as possible

First pic above is the new engine. Everything looks good in there. We made some progress tonight. Cleaned up this new engine really good, put new intake manifold gaskets in, new thermostat. Tapped the pi intake for the second coolant temp sensor. Got the old crank pulley off, swapped out the plugs, pulled the timing cover off the old motor and put a new gasket on and put it on the new one. Only things left are to swap over the oil filter relocation, swap the motor mounts, swap the headers, tap the pan, put a gasket on the pan, put it on the k member, reinstall turbo setup, connect wiring and we are good to go. Hopefully be done by this Saturday. The other two pics above are the carnage. I’ll get better pics when we actually take the pan off the old motor.

I promise I’ll update you guys tomorrow on what we find in the old engine. But spent all day in the 100 degree heat working on this thing. Got everything reinstalled. And it will be in the car tomorrow

If it makes ya feel any better I was out in 90° heat all day.

But I was laying around the pool. [emoji1787]
