Yea well i was able to get a decent time there for a stock 94 mustang gt considering that LACR is in plamdale. I was able to crack out a 15.4 at 91.5 up there. Irst i need to address my traction issuse and then my stock pittiful 2.73 gears.

lots of room for improvement, some gears would cut a few tenths off that time.

what altitude would give the greatest horsepower/track times?

the lower the altitude the better right?

im pretty sure thats right. Im here on the east coast ( at the beach ) and the times I see guys run here are always better than ones I see on the net from guys with the same mods but live out west.

Not bad numbers, i had ran 15.1 at like 94 mph with my 95 Cobra... 7 years ago at palmdale

mods were: shortie headers, o/r h-pipe, XR-1 borla catback, 3.73's, pirelli's on 18 inch rims, b&m short throw, bbk cold air

The elevation sucks the life out of cars and the prepping just sucks!!

Decent times? My pap ran a best of 13.4's at LACR at 100 in his '94 with ported e7's, ported explorer intake, 3.90's, 8" slicks in a 5 speed. That same car ran 12.85 at Famoso in Bakersfield.
I never ran at LACR but been there a few times. It's a dusty track because its always windy and kicks up the desert sand. Famoso is a better track, better prep and altitude.
Anyway,
Chris
