Hey, I've had my mustang for a while and I've gone around the general forums like StangForums and stuff like that, but I just came across this one and it looks very active! Decided I'd sign on.

Anyway, I got myself a 1998 Base Mustang as my first car. Yeah I know, a base, but its the 5spd with a Saleen S281 kit! (and a S351 Spoiler). She's a little rough around the edges but its my goal to slowly bring her back to glory and eventually put a 5.0 in there as well. Here are some picks for ya! (White car)

Welcome aboard!

Your car looks good! What kind of 5.0 are you going to swap, a lame old pushrod or a new fancy coyote?

Believe me I want a coyote, but an old 94-95 pushrod is so much easier to swap in, since it'll bolt up to the T50 trans with only a bellhousing and it's own K-member already fits!.

Keep in mind the internals of your V6 T5 are not the same as the V8 T5. But yes it will bolt right on with a bellhousing swap.

And plan on swapping the 7.5" rear end out sometime.

8.8 rear end swap is already planned. Me and a friend with an 03 3.8 with a termi kit found one at a junkyard in amazing condition, but he had already bought a pro charger and customized his a lot more, so we decided he would get that rear end.

I actually was not aware the internals were different, thanks for mentioning that! Though I have researched it before, and the V6 T5 should still be good for up to 250hp safely.
