keys made/cut

So i bought some key blanks online with fobs. Took them over to the local ACE to get cut. Nope, won't do it because of some law, they have to sell the keys to you so they can cut it and activate it, whatever you want to call it. Ok so i ask what they want for a key...$80. shit. so all i have is one key for mine. Anyone have info as to where i can get the blanks cut for me and programmed? Ford?

For my wife's 98, I got key blanks on line and programmed the fobs myself using her two existing Ford keys after I had them cut. I only had one key for my 98 and again got blanks on line and had them cut someplace, I don't know where. I only had one original key so couldn't program them myself. Ford wanted a lot of $$$ and said it would take at least an hour or two. I went to The Keyless Shop and they programmed them in a few minutes, no problem. There has to be a shop local to you who will do what you want.
