Okay, so i have a radar detector and When I put it in the cigarette lighter one (the one by the "coin holder") It works fine without power disruptions. Now, If I plug it into the one by my shifter, every once in a while, the power will go out and restart. Also, If i move it to a certain point it will stop power completely. I have heard that it may be caused my a short somewhere in my electrical but I'm not sure. Anyone have any advice? Oh, and its NOT the power cord to the detector itself, Ive ran that through tests on my own. Thanks!

Take it apart and look at the plug mine didn't work at all when I bought my car. I think it had something to do with how it was screwed together. Sorry I can't be more specific, it's been too long for me to remember for sure but you should be able to tell once you have it apart.

Yeah, I fixed it. The connectors were spead apart too far so I got a little tiny screwdriver and brought them closer. Thanks for the info though!!!
