I found a mint condition 96 Mark VIII LSC with 65k for $4.500.

Im thinking about buying it for a DD. 290 hp, it will run circles around our 94 GT.

Ive had Fords and Lincolns with all the bells and whistles, that Mark VIII has a couple miles of vacuum hoses on it, when the electronics or dreaded blend door quits, no amount of money is going to fix it.

Its got that funky 5x4.25 bolt pattern and a 4.6, so it has nothing in common with anything else I own. I stumbled on it when I was surfing CL looking for a 302 or 351 donor for my 64 F100. I took a liking to it and am now tossing a coin on if I should add it to the herd.

So mark VIII OR 302 / 351 in your 64 f100? Or are you considering doing both?

If one or the other i would say build the f100. If you can afford to do both then add the mark to the stable

One of my favorite cars ever! If I find a mint pearl Mark VIII I would buy it and daily it during the nice moths. One of my employees has a 98 with 280,000 miles and has had very few issues with it.

I also love the 5.0 LSC's
