Has anyone here had any experience with these? I've been sticking some money back and made a couple grand extra this weekend so I'm thinking about dropping the hammer on a set of staggered FR500's if all goes right. It says they come with 275/35/18 fronts and 285/35/18 rears Nitto Nt555. I don't know much about tires since this is my first car so I'm really wondering if I should try to just buy the wheels separate and find a better tire combo or if this is a pretty decent deal for $1400 shipped. A wider tire in the back would be cool but I don't plan on racing the car besides maybe a few odd weekends at the track goofing off, I'm just building it to have a separate DD. So for a daily driven vehicle would these be my best bet?

I have bought several wheel packages from LMR and American Racing. I have never had a issue with them I would rather have a 305 or 315 for the 10.5" wheel but that is not a option if you buy tires from those guys. To answer your question I would recommend the LMR wheels with the Nitto's

Seems like an okay deal. Not sure why they put a 10mm bigger tire on a 1" bigger rim.. 275 in front and 295 out back would seem like a better setup but I guess that's just how they set it up. Lol

Yea I agree a 295 would make more sense but whatever lol. Anyone have any comments on the Nitto tires being worth it or not?

Stay away from NT555s. My boy runs them on his bolt on 5 speed new edge GT.. Good dry traction, but really scary in the rain.. Like hydroplaning at 60mph, they're terrible in the rain.. Thats why I won't get one of those tire & wheel kits. I'm sure Win will back me up on the NT555 thing

I would never spend $1400 on FR500s. Doesn't matter if they come with tires or not. That's basically the price of a used set of forged rims. FR500s go for way less on craigslist or in the classifieds. Unless you want really want brand new rims, there are so many better options out there for that kind of money. How are you current tires right now? Do they have good tread left?

Ferocious current tires are probably 95% tread front and brand new rears. They're some type of Maxxis tire, the bullits I originally bought only came with two tires, so I just bought two matching tires for the rear. I know without a doubt the FR500's are the wheel I want, I've been set on that since day one. But I haven't done much searching on any classifieds yet to try and find any better deals, which I definitely will before I go throwing any money out.

If you really like the FR500s then by all means buy them. But if your tires are at 95% tread, don't bother buying new ones. Save what money you can. The only setback I see is that your current wheels are 17s im assuming and the FR500's you want are 18s?

Yep that's correct! I think I could sell them locally though if I tried there's plenty of potential around here on stock wheels.

i got my black saleen staggered 18s from LMR and also got the nitto 555s.. I had the customer service rep changed the front tires to a smaller size 245 or 255 in front and 285 in the rear were the largest they would put on... also I got a discount code on and saved me almost 100 bucks think I paid 1100 or so for the wheels shipped balanced and lug nuts.. good luck whatever you do
